Mega football tourney begins today

‘Let’s Play’, a first-of-its-kind mega football tourney, will begin here on Tuesday. As many as 1,175 players are participating in the event. It is being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
As many as 55,000 boys and girls had registered themselves for the event online. A total of 88 teams had been formed. The competition for boys will be held at four venues in Srinagar, while girls will be playing at different play fields in Ganderbal.
Director-General, Youth Services and Sports, Saleem-ur Rehman said the participants would be provided accommodation in Srinagar and Ganderbal. At least 200 officials had been engaged for the smooth conduct of the tourney. — TNS
