Manoj Kumar and Naman Tanwar advance to the next round in Boxing

Friday brought good news to Indian boxing fans as two medal favourites- Manoj Kumar and Naman Tanwar beat their respective opponents to progress to the next round of the boxing competition at the Gold Coast.
Naman Tanwar competing in the 91kg category best his Tanzanian opponent A Mhando 30-26 in the pre quarterfinal bout to progress to the quarterfinal stage. Kumar beat O Umeh of Nigeria to make it to the next round in the men’s 69 kg category.
India is expecting at least 3 medals from the boxing contingent.
