Maiden National crown for Preyesh Raj

Tamil Nadu’s Preyesh Raj, with five National-ranking titles this season, won his maiden National crown in the cadet boys’ category, beating Havish Asrani of Maharashtra 4-1 in the final of the 11Sports 79th cadet and sub-junior National table tennis championships, which concluded here on Tuesday.
H. Jeho (PSPB Academy) and Diya Chitale (Maharashtra) retained the sub-junior boys’ and girls’ titles.
The results (finals): Cadets: Boys: Preyesh Raj (TN) bt Havish Asrani (Mah) 11-8, 11-8, 9-11, 12-10, 11-2; Girls: Suhana Saini (Har) bt Pritha Vartikar (Mah) 9-11, 10-12, 11-4, 11-9, 11-3, 11-6.
Sub-juniors: Boys: H. Jeho (PSPBA) bt Dev Shroff (Mah) 11-5, 8-11, 11-9, 9-11, 11-4, 11-7; Doubles: Deepit Rajesh Patil & Dev Shroff (Mah) bt Payas Jain & Arush Dutt (Del) 11-7, 5-11 13-11, 7-11, 11-9.
