Outplaying Kerala in the final by an innings and five points, the tough side of Maharashtra clinched the 56th edition of the National School Games (NSG) Under-19 Kho-Kho at Khel Gaon, Nagotra in the outskirts of the city, here on Sunday.

The event was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) under the auspices of School Games Federation of India (SGFI).
Rohan Khore remained in limelight for his superb performance in the all important game. He secured important six points and defended his team for 2.30 minutes to be named as Man of the Match.

Third place went to Haryana, who defeated Tamil Nadu by four points in the hardliner.

For his all round performance throughout the event, Dilip Kahandavi of the winning Maharashtra side was declared Man of the Tournament.

In the final and prize distribution function, Director General DYSS, Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman was Chief Guest, who presented medals and gave away title trophies to the first three position holder teams.
