Mahamaya and Vishwabharti School shared Cross Country Race Champion title

On occasion of birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand and National Sports Day, Major Dhyan Chand Cross Country Race was organised in Noida region. Mahamaya Inter College along with Vishwabharti School outshines the event to claim their positioning for the top spot in the race.

More than 400 sprinters from the Delhi and NCR region participated in the one day event. Top two teams along with third and fourth spot gainer were honoured with the winning trophy at the end of the championship.

Chief Guest OSD Rajesh Kumar, GM Rajiv Tyagi and International Cricketer Parvinder Awana marked their attendance in the event and boosted the confidence of all the participating contestants.

25 schools from the Delhi region part of the Society For Sports And Culture Advancement Federation participated in the event. 2Km race for girls was organised in the tournament while boys challenged each other in 4km race. Neha of Mahamaya Intercollege grabbed the top spot followed by Shivani Kumari as the runner up of the race. Indus Valley School’s Samya Malik grasped the third spot in the girls event.

In boys category race, Kanishk Tomar of Vishwabharti School claimed the top spot for the second time in the race. Uttrakhand Public School’s Sway Kumar claimed the third spot followed by Rahul Mehra as the third spot achiever.
