Lucknow will host International Cricket match after wait of 24 years

BCCI and ICC has together gifted schedule of International Cricket match in the Lucknow stadium after wait of 24 years. This festive season Lucknow’s Ikana International Stadium will host T 20 match between India and West Indies.

West Indies tour of India has been announced yesterday and the tour is scheduled within 1 week time period after the completion of Asia Cup in UAE. In the tour West Indies will play Test Series, One Day Series and T 20 Series against India in about 1 month tour.

The last match in Lucknow was played as test match in the year 1994 between India and Sri Lanka. The match was played in the K.D Singh Babu Stadium in between 18 and 22 January, 1994. Indian team claimed 119 runs mammoth win in the particular match and Navjot Singh Sidhu (124 runs) and Sachin Tendulkar (142 runs) in the match.
