Little Star’s U-11 Challenger Trophy: St. Joseph emerge victorious

St Joseph’s School, Sector 44, registered a 10-wicket win over Vivek High School, Sector 38, and won the Little Star’s U-11 Challenger Trophy in Chandigarh.
Chasing a modest total of 111 runs for victory, Gursimran and Sharma looked at ease against a toothless Vivek High School attack. While Gursimran made an unbeaten 58, Sharma remained not out on 47 to guide St Joseph’s to a comprehensive win.
Earlier, Vivek High School were bowled out for a below par 110 in 24.5 overs after opting to bat. Leroy Sareen was the most effective bowler for St Joseph’s, claiming 3/12. Deepak Sharma (2/18) and Aditya (2/17) grabbed two wickets each.
Shlok Raina (18) was the top scorer for Vivek High School. Urjit Singh made 16, while Bhavish added 12 runs to the total.
Gursimran was given both the Man of the Match and Man of the Series titles. Deepak was adjudged the Best Bowler of the tournament, while Arjun Singh was awarded the Best Fielder trophy. Shlok Raina was named the Best Batsman.
