Leander Paes eyeing Davis Cup Doubles World Record against China

India will take on China in the two day Davis Cup meet in Tianjin on 6th and 7th April, 2018. Leander Paes is returning to the team after a year and would be eyeing to break Italian Nicola Pietrangeli’s record of 42 doubles wins. The 44-year-old is currently tied with him at that mark.
The second-round tie in the Asia/Oceania Group would see Paes and Rohan Bopanna partnering after a long time. Although Bopanna was initially reluctant to partner with Paes, he later agreed to travel to China for the sake of the country’s tennis future. India have never lost to China in Davis Cup.
