Lakshya Sen advances, Gayatri Gopichand loses at BWF World Junior Championship

Former junior world No. 1 Lakshya Sen advanced to the third round while Gayatri Gopichand was knocked out of the BWF World Junior Championship in Markham, Canada, on Tuesday.
Laksya defeated Armando Gaitan of Mexico 21-13, 21-9. Priyanshu Rajawat, Alap Mishra and Kiran George have also reached the men’s singles third round.
In women’s singles, Purvi Barve downed Pornpicha Choeikeewon of Thailand 21-17, 21-14 in the second round.
