Kynan Chenai stumbles in final

Young Olympian Kynan Chenai fought his way into the men’s trap final in a field of 147 shooters, but misfired in the single-shot climax to place sixth in the Shotgun World championship here on Sunday.

Kynan, the odd man out in the six-member final as the one without a World Championship or World Cup medal, had won an extended tie-shoot to make the cut after being tied on 121 with six others for the four spots.

Daniele Resca of Italy pipped Edward Ling of Britain 43-40 in the final.
