Kritika, Harman jump to gold

Kritika of Dronacharya House topped the podium in the girls’ U-14 long jump competition during the 8th Annual Athletics Meet of Tribune Model School, Sector 29, at the Sector 7 Sports Complex here today. 

Kritika was followed by house-mates Janice and Gurnoor in second and third places, respectively. 

In the boys’ U-14 long jump, Harman of Chanakya House won the gold medal, while Devinder of Dronacharya House bagged the silver. Ritesh of Shankracharya House claimed the bronze medal. 

Jaspreet, Harsh shine

Jaspreet of Shankracharya House dominated the field in the girls’ U-17 long jump. Pushpa of Dronacharya House finished second, while Riya of Chanakya House occupied the third spot. 

In the boys’ U-17 long jump, Harsh of Vishwamitra House won the gold medal. Manmeet of Chanakya House got the silver, while his house-mate Ayush had to be content with the bronze medal. 

Team effort

In the boys’ 4x100m relay race, Ansh, Naman, Chitransh and Shubham of Dronacharya House clinched the gold medal. Shankracharya team of Sahil, Aryan, Harsh and Gauransh won the silver, while Mehbubal, Aditya, Dhabal and Prashant of Chanakya House bagged the bronze medal. 

Mahi, Kashish, Ananya and Tamanna of Shankracharya House of claimed the top spot in the girls’ 4x100m relay. They were followed by Jasmine, Laxmi, Pragati and Sakshi of Chanakya House in second place, while Sahanshi, Gunjan, Diksha and Ayushi of Vishwamitra House finished third. 

In the mixed 4x400m relay competition, Dronacharya team of Vansh, Ayush, Manini and Sakshi won the gold medal. Yuvraj, Ayush, Soumya and Ramneet of Shankracharya House bagged the silver, while Gursehaj, Akhil, Anubha and Laxmi of Chanakya House pocketed the bronze medal. 

In the girls’ long jump competition for Classes IV-V, Tamanna of Shankracharya House claimed the gold medal, while her house-mate Ananya won the silver. Sakshi of Dronacharya House got the bronze medal. 

In the boys’ category, Ansh of Dronacharya House, Aryan of Shankracharya House and Prince of Vishwamitra House won the top-three positions, respectively, in the boys’ category.

Earlier, the meet with the motto ‘Respect, Commitment, Encouragement and Growth’, was inaugurated by Principal Vandana Saxena.
