Krishnan finds an easy spot in pre-quarterfinal line-up

Krishnan Hooda, the young aspirant tennis player from Haryana easily enters the pre-quarterfinal stage of ongoing CLTA-AITA Championship Series at the CLTA Complex in Sector-10, Chandigarh, on Monday.

Hooda tried his best to lead first set and formulated win after playing tie-breaker against Sharma with 7-6 set points and he drubbed Sharma with an easy 6-2 score to move ahead in the tournament.

In other matches, fourth seed Akhiledran dominated against Delhi’s Siddharth Goel with scoreline 6-1 and 6-3, on other hands, fifth seed Bhupender Dahiya fought well to remain in the contest by winning a straight game against Chandigarh’s Gaurav Kumar with leading edge of 6-2 and 6-4.

Sixth seed Tushar Madan of Delhi overpowered his Haryana’s rival Lokender Pun in a tough match to count his positioning in last-16 players for the tournament.

Unfortunately, due to drizzle of rains in Chandigarh, remaining day’s match was postponed to Tuesday and will be published later by the Championship Committee.
