Khelo India Inter-Panchayat Chess & Carrom Tournament concludes

Khelo India Inter-Panchayat Chess and Carrom Tournament organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K concluded here at New National Higher Secondary Nowshera Ground on Monday.
The Tournament was held under the supervision of District Officer (DYSS) Rajouri, Ashok Gandotra.
A total of 320 students (boys and girls) from 32 Panchayats took part in the tournament.
Final results
Boys Under-15 Carrom: Lamberi East Panchayat winner. Under-17: Rajpur Bhata Panchayat winner. Under-17 Chess: Gagrote Panchayat winner. Under-15: Mangla Devi Panchayat winner.
Girls Under-15 Carrom: Lamberi East Panchayat winner. Under-17: Androoth Panchayat winner. Under-17 Chess: Lamberi East Panchayat winner. Under-15 Chess: Mangla Devi Panchayat winner.
Prominent persons present were Gulzar Ahmed ZPEO Nowshera, Rakesh Gupta ZPEO Dandesar, Rakesh Choudhary and Surjeet Singh ( both PEMs).
Speaking on the occasion, Gulzar Ahmed asked youth to take part in sports and games and for physical fitness.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by P.R Khokher, Chairman of the host School.
