Khelo India initiative gains popularity with participation 27 States players

The closing ceremony of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha Khelo India 2018 event was commenced in Talkatora Stadium of Delhi. The chief guest on occasion of closing ceremony BJP’s President Amit Shah appreciated the effort of Youth level party members to allow young gems to showcase their talent at the national level event.
Sports Minister Karnal Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore applauding BJP for being the only national party in the nation to provide a platform and token of appreciation for the young sports enthusiasts. BJYM President Poonam Mahajan in her speech said that such an event will surely offer help in the popularization of India’s grassroots sports event.
In Kabbadi, Kushti, Kho-Kho, Tug-Of-The War and Malkhamb tournament total of 27 states team participated from all over India. In these events, total 733 zones and 11,165 groups registered their entry, from over 8000 teams 20 teams find their positioning in final stage games played in Delhi. In Tug-Of-War Boy’s category Punjab team emerged as the winner and in Girls category Haryana team won the gold medal. In Kabbadi matches Maharashtra’s Girls won the ace spot and in Boys category, Haryana emerged as the winner. Kushti games were dominated by Northern zone Wrestlers.
The closing ceremony of the Khelo India initiative witnessed the presence of great political personalities such as Central Minister Jitendra Singh, National BJP State Minister Ramlal, President of BJP Delhi Manoj Tiwari, MP Kiran Kher, International Sportsman Pankaj Advani and Ajay Ratra.
