Khelo India Football: Bishnah, Akhnoor edge past in league win

Block Bishnah and Akhnoor won their respective matches by identical margins in the ongoing league round of the Inter-Panchayat/Block district level football tournament, organised jointly by the J&K Sports Council and Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Mini Stadium, Parade, in Jammu on Wednesday.
In the first match, Bishnah defeated Block Pargwal 2-1. Abhishek Kumar scored both the goals for the winning side. However, Bishnah had a self goal in the later stages of the match.
The other match of the day was won by Block Akhnoor, which trounced Block Suchetgarh 2-1. Abhishek Chandan netted two goals while only goal from Suchetgarh came through Aditya Chopra.
The first of its kind event under Khelo India is being organised by support with the District Football Association (DFA) Jammu.
In total, 14 teams are taking part in this event. These teams have been further divided into four different groups for the league round. As per the fixtures, two matches have been scheduled on a daily basis.
Top team from each pool shall take on each other in the semifinals which will be followed by the title clash.
