Khelo India: Assam’s Shivangi won her 4th Gold of the competition

Assam girl Shivangi Sharma added her fourth gold medal in the ongoing 3rd Khelo India Youth Games.
She won a gold medal in the girls U-21 100m freestyle event at the Dr. Zakir Hussain Aquatic Centre in Sarusajai Sports Complex. She clocked 59.26 seconds. Goa’s Saachi Gramopahyay and Kiran Shet Nariyekar took silver and bronze medals respectively in that event.
Weightlifter Dimpi Dutta won a bronze medal for Assam today in the girls U-21 (70kg) category. Assam boy Bikram Changmai, representing Delhi won gold in 100m butterfly with a timing of 56.64 seconds in boys U-17 group.
Meanwhile women boxers Priyanka Borah (U-21) and Ankushita Boro (U-17) entered the final.
The Assam U-17 boys team stormed into the football final defeating Odisha 3-1. For Assam, Nicodim Narzary (2) and Tomothi Narzary were the goal scorers. In badminton, Assam boys and girls U-17 teams entered the semifinals.
