Karan & Deepanshu lands Golden Punch

In the 65th National School Games, Faridabad’s boxers performed brilliantly especially in the Under-17 age category and won a total of 5 medals. Players got huge welcome at home, after their return.
The National School Games was held from 19th to 25th November at Mizoram.
Karan Sen who participated in 46-48Kg weight category bagged Gold by outclassing his opponent in the final. In 63-66Kg weight category Deepanshu emerged as champion by knocking his opponent via TKO. He also bagged Gold. While in 45 Kg-Anshul Siroha, in 70-75Kg-Aakash and in 80-85Kg-Deep Thevetia had to settle for Silver medal as their opponents got better of them in the final.
All these players have been selected for Khelo India school games which is all set to be held in Guwahati next year. Players will now get better opportunities to train with some high class facilities. Currently all these boxers train at KL Mehta School in Sector 10, Faridabad.
