Junior Shooters aims 2 Gold Medals in ISSF World Shooting Championship

ISSF World Shooting Championship being played in South Korea is emerging as a great platform for the Junior Shooters of India. India’s 16 yr old Shooter Vijay Veer Siddhu has grabbed gold medal for the nation in 25m Standard Pistol Competition.

Vijay Veer along with Raj Kanwar Singh Sandhu and Adarsh Singh triggered the top spot in the team event. India ended their journey in the ISSF World Shooting tournament with total 27 medals including 11 Gold, 09 Silver and 07 Bronze medals. The Indian team with best figures till date attained 3rd spot in the overall championship.

Siddhu prior to the first spot was 4th in line player on Thursday but he bettered his performance in the final round of the tournament. He collected total 572 points in the tournament, with 570 points Korean player Lee Gunheyok finished the competition with second spot and Chinese Player Haoji Jhu settled for third spot with 565 points.
