Junior Hockey team to be led by Mandeep

The 18-member Indian junior men’s team to be led by Haryana’s Mandeep Mor in the eight nation U-21 Hockey tournament to be held in Spain from June 10.
The tournament will see great teams like the Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain, Austria, Australia and New Zealand, apart from India and the host Spain.
Prashant Kumar Chauhan and Pawan will keep the Indian goalpost, while the defence will include Mandeep Mor, Pratap Lakra, Sanjay, Akashdeep Singh Junior, Suman Beck and Parampreet Singh.
Yashdeep Siwach, Vishnu Kant Singh, Rabichandra Singh Moirangthem, Maninder Singh and Vishal Antil in the midfield and the Indian attack will be led by Amandeep Singh, Rahul Kumar Rajbhar, Shivam Anand and Sudeep Chirmako.
“Some of the players have had good international exposure. This will be quite a challenging tournament given the teams participating in it, and I believe the tournament will give us an understanding of where we stand in
terms of our preparations for the Junior World Cup in 2021,” as said by David John, Director, High Performance.
