Junior Badminton Championship, Day3: recap

On the third day of the Junior Badminton Championship at the Sector 38 Sports Complex, Chandigarh on Thursday.
Pari Khambra registered an 11-4 11-3 win over Amanat Kaur Khangura to enter the girls’ U-9 singles semifinals.
Alisha Bhandari tamed Mehvish Kaur 11-6 11-8, while Bhavna Chahal dismissed Glory Katoch 11-10 11-4. Sanvi Ralhan dumped Sonakshi Khosla 11-5 11-4 in the TNS Quarterfinals.
In the boys’ U-9 competition, Shreyaansh Garg came from behind to beat Khagesh Chadha 9-11 11-7 11-10 and book a place in the quarterfinals.
Shaurya Singh Rana humbled Lonibon Pawe 11-7 11-1 in the pre-quarterfinals, while Sarthak Som drubbed Agamvir Singh 11-4 11-1. Yug Raj Mahi dismissed Ayaan Sangwan 11-2 11-3 and Zorwar Singh tamed Virat Khanna 11-3 11-4.
Ishaan Sharma, meanwhile, dispatched Dakshvir Singh 11-9 11-3 in the boys’ U-13 pre-quarterfinals. Vaibhav Giri rallied to beat Armaanpreet Singh 9-11 11-4 11-5 and Jasraj Singh defeated Reyansh 11-6 11-10. Uday Rana overcame Aryaman Dhull 7-11 11-10 11-9.
In the girls’ U-13 pre-quarters, Ramandeep dumped Seeza 11-7 11-10, while Sunaina overcame Snowy 11-8 9-11 11-8. Saanvi beat Saadia Sheikh 11-9 6-11 11-8.
