Judo Championship will commense from 26th July

20th District Level Championship will be played in Dhanvapur district of Gurgaon from 26th July. The event will be played as a two-day encounter amongst the different Judo players in the Ajit Stadium. Mahendra Singh, the district judo coach has said that all the preparation is at the last stage and before the commencement of championship, one day camp will be organized in the stadium from 9:00 am to 11: am and from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm to measure the weight of different participant and classify their category accordingly.
The 20th edition of the tournament will be played in 5 different categories. For the very first time, the administration has added mini sub-junior category especially for kids born in between 2009 and 2012. The other popular category for the tournament is 18kg, 21kg, 24kg, 27kg, 30kg and 30kg+ category.
In the sub-junior category, kids between age 2006 and 2008 can participate and it will include 25, 30, 35, 40 and 40 plus categories. Respectively there will be Junior category for 2000 and 2002 born candidates and senior category for teenage students. Both girls and boys with respective weights in different categories can participate and win in the tournament.
