J&K clinches Khelo India Wushu Women’s League title

J&K won 16 Gold medals in the Khelo India Wushu Women’s League-2022 North Zone, organised at SK Indoor Sports Complex, here today.

Dr Darakshan Andrabi, Chairperson Waqf Board J&K, was the chief guest at the valedictory ceremony. She congratulated Sports Authority of India, Wushu Association of India, (WAI) and Wushu Association of J&K for giving the platform to the women folk in order to exhibit their best at the national & International level.

She also said that J&K is turning into a sports hub for all activities and Kashmir is turning into Naya Kashmir. She presented medals to the winners during the medal presentation ceremony in presence of Nadeem Ahmad (Dy. Dir SAI), Suhail Ahmad (Coordinator WAI), Bhavneet ( General Secy WAJK), Krishan (PO SAI), PN Azad and Kuldeep Handoo (Dronacharya awardee) organizing secretary of the event.

In 45kg (Senior), Kusum-Haryana (Gold), Komal –Haryana (Silver) and Fulki-J&K and Komal-Haryana (Bronze), in 48 kg, Roshni-Chandigarh (Gold), Palwi-Punjab (Silver), Tannu & Nafi –Haryana (Bronze), in 52kg, Behjat-J&K (Gold), Kiran-Chandigarh (Silver) and Iritiza-J&K & Poonam-Himachal Pradesh (Bronze),in 56kg Anju Kumari-Chandigarh (Gold), Khushi-Chandigarh (Silver) and Ronak-Delhi & Nishu-Haryana (Bronze), in 60kg Kareena-Haryana (Gold), Mahreen-J&K (Silver) and Shiksha-Haryana & Gayatri-Delhi (Bronze), in 65kg Karamjeet Kaur-Punjab (Gold), Nighat-J&K (Silver) and Nandani-Delhi and SHRUTI-Delhi (Bronze), in 70 kg, Komalpreet-Punjab (Gold), Zeerak-J&K (Silver) and Nilima-Delhi & Vaishali-J&K (Bronze) and in 75kg, Munazah-J&K (Gold), Shabnam-J&K (Silver) and Neeraj-Haryana & Rutba-J&K (Bronze).

In 45kg (Junior), Sonia-Haryana (Gold), Reena-Chandigarh (Silver) and Anu-Chandigarh & Saliya Feriz-J&K (Bronze), in 48kg, Ayara-J&K (Gold), Kanishka-Delhi (Silver) and Rabiya-J&K & Saira-J&K (Bronze), in 52kg, Sadia-J&K (Gold), Palak-Haryana (Silver) and Komal-Haryana & Syed Liza-J&K (Bronze), in 56kg, Deepika-Haryana (Gold), Alisha-Haryana (Silver) and Kaifa-J&K & Sanajan-J&K (Bronze), in 60kg, Shahtalha-J&K (Gold), Sana-J&K (Silver) and Saima Akther-J&K & Diksha-Delhi, (Bronze).

In 27kg (Sub-junior), Neetu-Haryana (Gold), Sakshi-Chandigarh (Silver) and Bhavya-Chandigarh & Anneka-J&K (Bronze) and in 30kg Ashmi-Haryana (Gold), Mysha-J&K (Silver) and Snezhana-Haryana & Sumiya-J&K (Bronze), in 33kg, Chandni- Harynan (Gold), Adeeba-J&K (Silver) and Aarya-Chandigarh & Sundaas-J&K (Bronze), in 36kg Jiya, Aira Sheeraz, Munaza and Babul-J&K won all the medals, in 39kg, Neha-Haryana (Gold), Tapasaya-Haryana (Silver), Jumana & Huran-J&K (Bronze), in 42kg, Khushi-Delhi, (Gold), Ritika-Haryana (Silver) and Riya-Haryana & Zainab Nisar-J&K (Bronze), in 45kg, Neetu-Haryana (Gold), Sakshi-Chandigarh (Silver) and Bhavya-Chandigarh & Anneka-J&K (Bronze) and in 48kg, Aliza-J&K (Gold), Payal-Haryana (Silver) and Tarahumsoliha-J&K & Moli-Haryana (Bronze).
