J&K Birla Open Minds Sports Club wins overall speed ball c’ship trophy

The Jammu and Kashmir Birla Open Minds Sports Club team won overall championship trophy of 7th North India Speed Ball Championship held on may 17 and 18, 2019. The event was organised by Punjab Speed Ball Association at Jalandhar. The 34 players of State speed ball team, under the banner of J&K Sports Speed Ball Association clinched gold medal in this event, by winning 23 medals including 6 gold, 7 silver and 10 bronze. The winners of the event are from different schools of Jammu, namely Birla Open Minds International School S.D Tara Puri School, Dogra Hr. Sec. School, DPS Jammu, Banyan International School, Jammu Sanskriti School, May Fair School, Air Force School, St. Xavier Convent School,New Era Environmental School and Birla Open Minds Sports Club. The medalists were accorded warm welcome at Jammu by Vijay Gupta Patron of association. Parents were also present on the occasion. The team participated in this tournament under the supervision of Sunny Nanda General Secretary of J&K Sports Speed Ball Association and Team Manager Sahil Janjua and coach Arti Bhagat.
All gold medal winners were selected for national of Speed Ball Games to be held Delhi in July 2019.
