Jashan scripts SD School success

Jashan scored 22 points as PMLSD Public School, Sector 32, overpowered Sri Guru Gobind Singh College (SGGS), Sector 26, by a score line of 59-31 in the boys’ U-19 category match of the ongoing Junior State Basketball Championship (U-19), at the Sector 42 Sports Complex today.
Jaskaran (16 points) was the other main contributor in the win. Dhruv (8 points) remained the best performer for the Sector 26 team. SGGS, Sector 35, outplayed Gurukul Global School, Mani Majra, 70-69. In a neck to neck tie, Tejbeer (30 points) and Ankush (21 points) contributed majority of the points for the winners, while Amrendra (26 points) and Ajmer (15 points) shined for Gurukul School.
Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, won the girls’ U-19 category match by defeating Panjab University Campus 67-22. Lizza (26 points) and Harman (17 points) were the two best performers for the winners. Ridhi Sharma (9 points) and Nirupam Kaur (6 points) reduced the margin for the campus team. In the last match, Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36, girls defeated Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, 54-26 with the help of Anjali (13 points) and Puneet (10 points). Sanskriti (9 points) scored maximum points for Carmel School.
