Jammu girls to face Udhampur in summit clash of State volley championship

District Jammu shall meet Udhampur in the girls’ final of the ongoing 31st J&K Junior Volleyball Championship being organised by Volleyball Association of J&K in coordination with J&K Excise Department and J&K Sports Council at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium in Jammu on Wednesday.
Earlier in semifinal matches played on Tuesday, Udhampur District defeated Poonch District by 3-0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-12) while District Jammu outplayed Samba by 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-22).
In boys section, District Baramulla shall meet District Rajouri and District Jammu to face District Samba in semifinal matches played on Wednesday.
In quarterfinal matches played today, Baramulla beat Kathua 2-0 (25-14m 25-15), Rajouri defeated Kulgam 2-1 (23-25, 25-15, 16-14), Jammu outplayed Udhampur 2-0 (25-8, 25-13) and Samba trounced Kupwara 2-1 (16-25, 25-20, 21-19).
25 teams including 15 in boys and seven in the girls from 15 districts of J&K UT are exhibiting their techniques of volleyball game. Nearly 300 players/officials are being provided free boarding/lodging facilities during the championship by the Volleyball Association of J&K.
