Jammu Boxing Meet commences

Jammu District Championship being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Boxing Association, commenced underway at Boxing Ring, MA Stadium, here on Friday.
“A good number of boxers turned up for the competition in almost all the weight categories. Soon after the district level competitions, the J&K Championship shall take place in the mid of March, General Secretary of the Association, Rajan Sharma said.
The technical panel in the competition comprised Anil Wadhera, Harvinder Singh, Akash Sharma, Rahul Kumar and Anil Kumar.
The Results:
Semifinals: 46-49 kg: Sahil Saini bt Rahul Kumar; Vijay Bhaskar bt Ankit Saini. 52-56 kg: Satyam Khajuria. 56-60 kg: Vikram Singh bt Anikesh Sharma; Ranvir Singh bt Sunny. 64-69 kg: Nitin Kumar bt Sachin Chowdhary; Rohit Manjotra bt Abhay Deol. 69-75 kg: Bishesh Sharma bt Narotam Manjotra; Nikhil Khajuria bt Dushyant Sharma.
Preliminary Round: 56-60 kg: Vikram Singh bt Kewal Singh; Anikesh Jamwal bt Karan Kumar, Sunny defeated Tarun Singh, 69-75 kg: Bishesh Sharma bt Sahil Chib. 64-69 kg: Nitin Kumar bt Shubam Mehra; Sachin Chowdhary bt Rohit Kumar.
