July 27, 2018, Palwal
3 sisters from the district Palwal Village fight all the odds in order to reach their sports practice venue located in Faridabad’s Sector 12 Sports Complex. They travel the 35 km distance from their hometown to Faridabad through the bus and trains not one or two days in a week but for all the weekdays. After reaching the sports complex, all the three sisters separate from each other and participate in the relevant sports in which they need perfection.
Gopal, the father of 3 girls and 1 buy work as a laborer in the village but odd financial condition never let down the determination of poor father to stop girls from living their individual dreams. The eldest sister of the family Laxmi (Lachcho) is 20 years in age and study in B.A 2nd year in state’s university. Being good at study, she also possesses great skills in Javelin Throw and won many medals in Pera-Javelin Throw events across the nation. At present Laxmi is preparing at her best for the National level tournament trials to be organized in Sawai Man Singh Stadium.
The other young sister Jyoti and 17-year old Rinki also come along Laxmi to the Faridabad Sports complex. Jyoti is pro wrestler at the State-level events and has won many medals by defeating several counterparts from other states. Rinki, the youngest sister is a multi-talented soul who carries great skills in Yoga, Dance, and Sprint events. Rinki has recently won the Silver medal in the 5km marathon in the state-level event.
Unfortunately, on days when the girls don’t have enough money for travel, they skip their training session for that particular date. But all these hurdles never stands in way of these sports girls from Faridabad to achieve something for their nation and for their state Haryana.
