Indian Women’s League: Third win for Gokulam

Gokulam Kerala registered its third win in as many games, demolishing SSB Women FC 5-0 in the Hero Indian Women’s League on Thursday.

Anju Tamang netted a brace and played a crucial role in the Kerala side’s build-ups.

Gokulam is on top of Group II with nine points, followed by FC Alakhpura, SSB, Hans Women FC and Panjim Footballers, all with three.

In the other match, Panjim Footballers posted its first win, pipping FC Alakhpura 2-1 in a close encounter.

Karishma Shirvoikar broke through the Alakhpura defence twice while Scindia Saudatikar stayed solid in defence for Panjim.

India under-18 player Samiksha scored a consolation goal for Alakhpura.

Panjim Footballers 2 (Karishma Shirvoikar 9 & 56) bt FC Alakhpura 1 (Samiksha 71).
