Indian Women’s Hockey Team claims career best ranking as the team rises to 9th spot in FIH Hero World Rankings

The Indian Women’s Hockey Team has recently attained their career best ranking as the team has climbed to the ninth spot in the latest published International Hockey Federation (FIH) rankings.

The career best rankings for the Indian Women’s Hockey Team has also boosted their confidence as the team at present is attending 4 days National Camp at the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Bengaluru Campus starting today.

Indian side has registered their best performance in last one decade as the team firmly grabbed spot in the quarter final stage game of the recently concluded Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup London 2018. Previously ranked at no.10 in the list, Indian team showcased some great team spirit in the World Cup League match as the team conceived just three goals in their journey and lost the semi-final match of the tournament with 3-1 in the penalty shoot out against Ireland.

The new rank for India has ensured that the Indian side will kick-start their Asian Games Journey with the highest ranking based country in all over Asia.
