Indian women team will play in Turkish Women’s Cup

Senior women’s football team of India will participate in the Turkish Women’s Cup starting on 27th February. In this tournament India has been placed in Group A with Romania, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Group-B has been given a place in France, Jordan, Northern Ireland and host Turkey. The Indian team is playing in the tournament to prepare for the AFC Olympic qualifier round-2 and the Saif Women’s Championship. National team director Abhishek Yadav said, “Girls have played seven international matches since January. In the Turkish Women’s Gold Cup, we will play at least four matches. From this, we will know what areas we need to pay more attention in the Olympic qualifiers and SAFF Championship. ”
