Indian Men Hockey team claims spot in semi-final with four in-line wins

Defending Champion Indian Hockey team has attained its smooth ace performance once again marking four in-line win and crucial spot in the semi final after clinching match against Korea with 5-3. Indian goal achievers, Rupindra Pal Singh (1st minute), Chinglensena Singh (04th minute), Lalit Upadhyay (15th minute), Manpreet Singh (49th minute) and Akashdeep Singh (55th minute) were the goal achievers for the Indian side.

Majai Jing (33 and 35 minute) and Jogayang Jang (59 minute) were the only successful goal scorer from Korean side. With smooth win in the quarter final knockout match, India stands firm at the 1st spot in Pool A with 12 points.

As part of the last group match for India, the champion team will meet their coastal neighboring country Sri Lanka. Indian team’s winning margin could have been more successful if the team had not lost few chances after leading the game from the very start of the match. Previous three match finishes for India is counted as 17-0 against Indonesia, record win of 26-0 against Honk Kong China and 8-0 win against tournament’s favorite Japan with 8-0.

Indian team with 5th overall world ranking dominated the game from the very first minute of the game, later the Korean team showcased great game but lacked the game with difference of two goals at the time of final whistle.
