Indian Junior Hockey Team will mark debut in Youth Olympic Games

India has great news from the hockey section, for the first time in the history of Youth Olympic tournament home side’s boys’ and girls’ team will feature their entry. 12 teams each from each of the category will play in the Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Event.
Boys’ team marked their qualification in the international tournament after registering 2-1 dominance over Malaysia in the Qualifier Games, on the other hand the Girls’ team entered the prestigious tournament after ending up final match against China in an event as runner up.
All categories hockey matches will be played in between 7 and 14 October. Apart India, the other participating nations in the Youth Olympic Tournament are Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Canada, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland and Zambia.
