Hosts Ramraj Academy bags Thanks-giving Cup Tournament

Hosts Ramraj Academy and Himalayan Eagle played their crucial final of the Thanks-giving Cup in Dehradun. The successful event credits skipper of Ramraj Academy Rajesh Rawat with ‘Man of the series award’ for showcasing great bowling skills and attaining crucial scalps at the equal interval during the possession of 7 days long cricket fest in Dehradun. Lakshya from the Brothers Club was chosen as the most successful batsman of the tournament and he was awarded ‘Best Batsman Award’.

In the final match of the tournament, Himalayan Eagle won the toss and decided to bat first, the side witnessed downfall as none of the batsmen for the team performed to their full potential. The whole team of Himalayan Eagle were able to score just 70 runs in 20.4 overs play. Abhinav Bisht emerged as the best batsman for the side as he scored highest 24 runs for the team. None of the other players was able to perform a final level innings to help their team reach a defendant score.

For the winning team, Harshit took 5 wickets haul against the counterparts and Vaibhav grabbed 2 crucial wickets for the hosts. Ramraj Academy blasted the second innings when they entered the ground for chasing the total. The team reached 71 runs total in just 5.1 overs and registered an easy final win with lost of just 1 wicket.

On occasion of the closing ceremony of the tournament, chief guest Dhirendra Pawar along with Narayan Rana former sports minister and Sunil Uniyal State Secretary represented the winning trophy to the Ramraj Academy and awarded runner-up Himalayan Eagle with the runner-up trophy. On occasion of such remarkable event; Rakesh Thapa, Santosh Sati, Rajesh Rawat and Vikas Rawat cheered both the teams in the duration of the game.
