Hockey India finalized 34-member core team for National Camp

Considering the onset of the Odisha Hockey men’s World Cup scheduled in Bhubaneshwar from 1st November. Hockey India has named 34 members name to get an opportunity to sharp their skills in the National Hockey Camp.
All the selected members will work hard during 23 days long training camp that will conclude on 23rd November ahead of the tournament.
Chief Coach of hockey India has been awarded with the responsibility to work in combination with the core group and finalize the name of final 18 players to step ahead for final selection. The camp will be hosted itself in the city decided for the mega event.
India will mark the start of their journey with match against South Africa team on 28th November, 2018. The Asian nation was recently declared as the joint winner of the recently concluded 5th Men’s Hero Asian Champions Trophy Muscat 2018.
Singh commenting over the issue said that “Our campaign at the 5th Men’s Hero Asian Champions Trophy Muscat 2018 served as good preparation for the team before the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup Bhubaneswar 2018, but now is the most critical time for us as we look to reinvigorate our spirits and work on the areas which need improvement. The National Camp will give all the 34 Core Group players the chance to work hard and show what edge they can provide to the team,”
