Himalayan Academy emerges as the second finalists of Thanks Giving Tournament

In the second semifinal of the first Thanks Giving Tournament played in between Brothers’ Academy and Himalayan Cricket Academy, the later side emerges as the winner of the crucial match with 15 runs and qualifies for the final match to be played on 22nd July. Sunday will act as the decider weekend day which will crown either Himalayan Academy or hosts Ramraj Academy as the winner of the tournament.

In the second semi-final match played in between Himalayan Cricket Academy and Brothers’ Cricket Academy, Himalayan skipper earned the decision to call after winning the toss and decided to bat first in the match. The team played a responsible inning during the first half of the match and managed 142 runs total in 33.4 overs with the loss of all wickets. For the Himalayan side, Sohit played the best knock with 47 runs contribution, Shikhar shines as the second best scorer of the match with 42 runs on board and Akhil added another 19 runs to command Himalayan with a comfortable score. Bowling unit for Brothers’ academy ended their part in the game with 3 wickets for Raghu and 2 scalps each for Sunny and Nikhil.

Brothers’ Academy in their attempt to chase down 142 runs total challenged by Himalayan academy fumbled in between and reached just 125 runs in 32.3 overs losing all hopes and wickets for the remaining 15 runs. Lakshya and Nikhil were the top scorers for the side as they attempted 26 and 27 runs to charge up their innings. Himalayan Academy bowlers Rahul, Deep Chandra and Aditya bowled fantastically to claim 4, 3 and 2 wickets as their best bowling figure for the game. Rahul was awarded ‘Man Of The Match’ award at the end of innings for his wicket aiming bowling skills throughout the game.
