Shooting:
ISSF Junior World cup: Anish Bhanwala wins the gold medal in 25m Rapid fire pistol while Adarsh Singh narrowly missed the podium.
India still on top with 18 medals; 8 Gold, 7 Silver and 3 Bronze with China on second with 6 Gold medals.

Football:
Intercontinental Cup: India took the lead but squandered it by conceding a penalty as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Syria in their last group match of the Intercontinental Cup in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. India have finished their Intercontinental Cup campaign with a disappointing 1 point from three matches, but there were sparks of brilliance throughout the campaign from Igor Stimac’s men.

Tennis:
Hall of Fame Open: Ramkumar Ramanathan who is defending runner-up points here in Newport is through to the Round of 16 at the Hall of Fame Open. He beats Sergiy Stakhovsky (5-7 7-6(6) 6-2) in three sets.

Up Next: Ramkumar will face the 4th seed, Ugo Humbert.

Badminton
Indonesia Open 2019: 2017 Champion Kidambi Srikanth made a strong start to his Indonesian Open campaign with a 21-14,21-13 win against World No.10 Kenta Nishimoto.
In another match, after losing the first game, Ace shuttler PV Sindhu comes back to win the match against World No.21 Aya Ohori of Japan in round one.

Archery:
Tokyo 2020, test event: Ace archer Deepika Kumari wins her first medal this year. She claims the silver medal after losing to Korea’s An San in the women’s recurve individual final at the Tokyo 2020 Test Event.

Athletics:
Para sports; Deepa Malik, the first woman para-athlete from India to have won a medal (silver) in ParaOlympics 2016, focuses on her comeback in 2021 for the World Championship.

Table Tennis:
The 21st edition of Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships – seventh in India – will see 12 teams vying for glory at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium from today. India has won 8 gold medals so far in the tournament.
