Shooting:
ISSF Junior World Cup- Indian trio of Elavenil Valarivan, Mehuli Ghosh & Shreya Agarwal create new World Record in 10m Air Rifle Team event of Junior World Cup in Germany & winning GOLD in the process.
In individual event: Elavenil won GOLD & Mehuli silver medal.
India sits at the top of the medal Tally with 14 medals including 6 Gold, 6 Silver and 2 Bronze at end of Day 3.
New Delhi to host International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Combined World Cup from March 15-26. The Combined World Cup involves events in rifle, pistol and shotgun.
Tennis:
Ramkumar Ramanathan joins compatriot Prajnesh Gunneswaran in main draw of Hall of Fame Open (ATP 250) in Newport with 6-4, 6-7, 6-3 win in 2nd & final Qualifying round.
Motorsports:
Yash Aradhya, who had recently debuted in the FIA Formula-4 South East Asia, claimed his first podium in the Round 5 of the championship held on 13th and 14th July at the Madras Motorsports Race Track, Chennai. Yash qualified 2nd with 1:38:881 second and started Race-1 from P2. Yash had a good start and held his position intact though he had pressure from the Ireland driver Lucca Allen
Football:
Intercontinental Cup football: Out of reckoning for a berth in the final after two embarrassing defeats, India would look to end the tournament with some pride when they face Syria in the last league match of the Intercontinental Cup in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.
Badminton:
India’s campaign in the Indonesia Open 2019 gets off to a losing start as Ashwini Ponappa and N Sikki Reddy go down 22-20, 20-22, 22-20 against Vivian Hoo and Cheng Wen Yap of Malaysia in the first round of the tournament.
