Indian Football team skipper, Sunil Chhetri is nawarded the All India Football Federation(AIFF) Men’s Player of the Year for the record 6th time.
Weightlifting
The Indian contingent won 13 medals that included eight gold, three silver and two bronze medals in senior, junior and youth categories at the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship on Day-01
Wrestling
JUNIOR ASIAN WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP DAY1:
Greco-Roman: Vijay (55 kg) wins Gold, Aawesh (130kg) wins Silver, Sunil (87kg) wins Bronze
Tennis
Ramkumar Ramanathan and his Portuguese partner Goncalo Oliveira won the doubles title at the Recanati Challenger trophy by defeating the second seeds Andrea Vavassori and David Vega Hernandez in the final.
Cricket
India needs 240 runs to win, in Semi-final against New Zealand at Old Trafford.
