Jayant Laaklan’s match-winning 114 and a fine all-round performance by Avneesh Sudha saw Haryana Academy edge past Bal Bhawan School by eight runs to lift the HCA under-17 cricket tournament.
For the losing side, Yugal Saini’s fighting 125-run knock went in vain. Laaklan was named best batsman of the tournament while Prateek Sehrawat was named best bowler and Avneesh the player of the tournament.
