March 7, 2018, Ghaziabad
Jeet Kune Do is a Chinese martial art influenced by the work and teachings of Bruce Lee. It has slowly gained prominence all over the world and has become popular with the young and old alike. Recently the 10th Uttar Pradesh Jeet Kune Do Championship was organised in Ghaziabad. The students of Happy Hours school performed extremely well at the meet. All 19 participants bagged medals in different age categories with 7 gold, 8 silver and 4 bronze medals.
The entire squad was facilitated by the founder Prabudh Jain. He explained that the students had worked tirelessly to prepare for the tournament. Not just that, they have performed exceptionally well in other competitions bringing laurels to the school. Jeet Kune Do being a virtually unknown sport, he hoped that the performances of the students would inspire others to take up martial art in some for or the other. Martial art is one of the best forms of self-defence and is very helpful in today’s scenario. It focusses on body strength and strengthening of the mind as well.
