Haldwani’s Poonam bags gold at MTB cross country race

Poonam Rana of Haldwani topped the women’s 32km race in the MTB Cross Country grand finale, yesterday. Silkie Schwartzenberg of ATH Delhi claimed the second spot, while her team-mate Sophie Schwartzenberg finished third.
In the men’s 40+ age-group, Sunil Borangpa won the 46km race. He was followed by Ricky Sharma and Nitin Nagpal in second and third places, respectively. In the men’s full circuit, Devender Thakur, Ashsish Sherpa and Vijay Prakash won the top-three positions respectively, while Rakshit Joshi topped the podium in the men’s 32km competition. Pranav Panwar occupied the second spot, while Shobit Negi bagged the third position.
