Gurukul: The School inaugurates second season of Ishwar Basketball Tournament

Gurukul: The School of Ghaziabad district announced the successful inauguration of second Ishwar basketball tournament on Monday. This year, the event is expected to be much bigger and will surely allow more young talents to showcase their talent as 32 teams have registered their participation for the tournament.
The first day of the tournament saw total 7 matches in the boys and girls category. Out of all the matches played on the first day, New Era Vidhyalaya succeeded to register win in their first two matches for the day.
Virender Jaggi, the chief guest of the tournament inaugurated the whole event and emphasized the need for more events like this in future. As per him, tournaments like this helps different schools to showcase their talent and boosts the confidence of young players to script a bright future in their respective sports field. Director of Gurukul, Sachin Vatsa while talking with media said that the school each of the year organizes basketball tournament each of the year and sees a large number of participation of students from Delhi and NCR region. Principal Gaurav Bedi showed his gratitude at the start of the event and congratulated all the winners and participants of the basketball tournament.
