Green Land wins Green Olympiad

Harshita Jalal of Green Land Convent School, Civil City, has bagged rank 1 in the state in a Green Olympiad organised by the Energy and Resource Institute. A total of 171 students participated in the Olympiad, of 48 got merit while 22 secured distinction. Of the 22 distinction holders, Harshita bagged rank 1, while six students of the school secured rank 2, two clinched rank 5 and 8 each, three got rank 17, four bagged rank 28, three got rank 38 and one secured rank 120. A medal was given to the winner while certificates were distributed among all participants during the morning assembly. Principal Ritu congratulated and lauded the efforts of the position holders.
Students display spelling skills
Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, organised an inter-class spelling bee competition for the students of primary classes with the aim to develop the vocabulary of students. The tiny tots participated with great enthusiasm. A thorough orientation was done by the mentors before the event in the format of learning-cum fun-filled competition. The principal said the competition was organised to help students improve their spellings and learn the correct usage of English words. TNS
