Green land & GNIPS girls, set for summit clash

Hosts Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar branch, and Guru Nanak International Public School (GNIPS), Model Town, set up the title clash in the Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex Basketball (Central Zone) Tournament for Girls U-19 being played in Ludhiana.
Both teams won their matches to secure berths in the final. Green Land Senior Secondary Public School, Jalandhar bypass branch, and Green Land Convent School, Dugri branch, will battle it out to decide the third position.
Teams from as many as 20 schools are taking part in this tournament being organised on the knock-out basis.
Hosts Green Land Convent School beat Ryan International School, Jamalpur, 9-5 and then trounced Green Land Convent School, Dugri, 12-0 to storm into the final.
Earlier, Dr Jyoti Sachdev Pujara, principal of the host school, inaugurated the tournament and wished the participants good luck.
