Green Gladiators Doda scripted convincing victory over Marmat Cricket Club by three wickets in the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda at Sports Stadium, here on Wednesday.
Earlier batting first after winning the toss, Marmat Club scored a modest total of 60 runs for the loss of ten wickets in 14.5 overs as none of their batsmen showed much resistance against the disciplined bowling by Green Gladiators team.
Sahil top scored with 16 runs while Ajaz Ahmed contributed six runs to the total.
For bowling side, Vinkal Kumar and Kashaf ul Iman grabbed three wickets each while Ashwani Sharma took two.
In reply, Green Gladiators managed to chase the target for the loss of seven wickets in 13.3.overs. Yasir was the top scorer with 15 runs while Kashaf ul Iman and Vinkal Kumar contributed chipped in 13 and 12 runs respectively.
For bowling side, Ajaz Ahmed picked three wickets while Abid Lone and Umar took two each.
Vinkal Kumar of Green Gladiators was declared as Man of the Match. He was given prize by CDPO Bhagwah Ajaz Choudhary in and Associate Principal GMHSS Doda Nishant Chandail, Academics Head GMHSS Doda Aditi Kath and Vice Principal GMHSS Doda Shafi Arreqat.
Today’s match was officiated by Yousuf Raza and Harish Raza as Umpires while Sandep Kaushik acted as scorer.
