Golfers Rahul Batra and Rupinder Jeet Singh shine in qualifiers

At Panchkula Golf Course National finals of the Mercedes Trophy of Chandigarh leg qualifier took place on Wednesday. In which golfers Rahul Batra and Rupinder Jeet Singh qualified in 0-16 and 17-24 handicap categories. They qualified by making 69 and 71.2 points. There are total 36 qualifiers who will now take part in National Finals which will take place at Oxford Golf Resort in Pune from 27th to 29th March. 120 golfers participated and in second round 89 golfers will take part today. With a drive of 327 yards Bismad Singh won the long drive challenge, Kirpal Kooner won the closest to the pin contest, Jagdish Kumar and Subhash goel won the two crossest to pin events of different categories.
