GOI initiative ‘Khelo India Girls league’ to start soon

In order to expand the ‘Khelo India Games’ run by the Central Government and to write a new text in the field of football, the Central Government is going to start many new leagues in the field of sports. In this episode, SAI is going to start a new league to connect girls with grassroots sports and encourage them. Which will be named ‘Khelo India Girls League’ (KIGL).
Under this, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) is starting a campaign to feed girls football for the first time across the country. Khelo India Girls League consists of 10 to 12 sports including Badminton, Table Tennis, Boxing. League of these games will be started only for girls.
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is supporting the ‘Khelo India Girls Football League’ technically and organizationally. All the proposed leagues will be organized in collaboration with the National Sports Federations and the respective state governments.
However, the date and place related to the Football League remains to be announced by the government. It is believed that it will be organized under the third phase of the ‘Khelo India Youth Games’ and may be announced in Guwahati from January 10-22 next year. This time, taekwondo and cycling can be included in the Khelo India Youth Games.
The decision has been taken by the government in the wake of preparations for next year’s Under-17 Women’s Football World Cup in India. The Women’s Football World Cup will be played next year at six venues in the country. So the first football league will start. It will start with the Under-17s. Then under-13, under-15 will also be included.
