GNKC, Govt. Girls School marches into SFs

Guru Nanak Khalsa College (GNKC) for Women, Model Town, along with Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Gill village, Government Club, Gill, and Guru Nanak Baseball Club today qualified for the semifinals in the women’s section of the 15th Senior Ludhiana District Baseball Tournament being played in Ludhiana.
In the first match of the day, GNKC scored an emphatic 10-0 victory over Shahi Sports College, Samrala, in which Arshpreet and Navjot Kaur chipped in with two runs each. The second match was played between Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Gill village, and Khalsa Baseball Club in which the former came out triumphant 3-1. Simran and Namrita scored one run each for the winning side.
In the third match, Guru Nanak Baseball Club overwhelmed Shahi Sports Club of Samrala whom they defeated 18-8 with the main contribution made by Jassi Kaur and Arshpreet Kaur. In another match, Government Club, Gill, survived a scare against BCM Club, Ludhiana, before romping home victorious 8-7. Diya and Taranpreet Kaur played a major role for the winning side, scoring two runs each.
