Ghaziabad, Allahabad and Noida region dominates Table Tennis Championship

U.P State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament marks its start with an action packed day in the IMS University Course Campus located near N.H 9. In affiliation of Uttar Pradesh Table Tennis Association (UPTTA) prestigious STAG sports company inaugurated 3 days T.T Championship.

Total 28 different Janpath’s 355 players registered their participation in the State Level Tournament. On the first day of the event, Youth Girls Category Girls pre-quarter final were played and in Sub-Junior Category Ghaziabad, Noida and Allahabad’s participants showcased impactful performances.

Dr. Sapna Rakesh, the IMS UC Campus Director inaugurated the tournament and warmly welcomed all the participants from the different part of the state. On this occasion Yogita, Main Referee Amit Singh and Additional Referee Parul Dixit marked their presence.

The tournament is organized for U12, U15, U19, U21, Senior Men and Women Category Table Tennis players. The tournament is played in between teams of Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Agra, Allahabad, Faizabad, Lucknow, Meerut, Sultanpur, Muradabad, Bareilly, Jhansi, Itawa and other regions team marked their attendance.

Many national level players like Radhapriya, Ambika Gupta and Divyansh Srivastava also took part in the tournament. In the first match played as the Pre-Quarter Final of the Youth Girls teams, Monika Dixit of Ghaziabad wins match against Kanpur’s Abhisarika Yadav. In second match, Kavya Gupta marked win against Ankita Srivastava. Third match offered great opportunity to Shalini Bansal against Ankita Gupta.

In Sub-Junior category matches played on the day, Akshay Tyagui registered win against Lucknow’s Divyansh Gupta, Second match favored Ghaziabad’s Vibhor against Allahabad’s Deepak Yadav, Third match favored Noida’s Aditya against Ghaziabad’s Krishna Sharma. The last match for the day marked great advancement for Allahabad’s Avil Pal against Medhansh.
