Football & Kabaddi memorial: Girls from Ramish & Vidya Mandir school reigned supreme

The Sriram Ram Anugraha Memorial Inter School Girls Football and Kabaddi Competition was played at the Noida Stadium on Thursday. In which Ramish School of Greater Noida won the finals of Football and Sant Kishori Vidya Mandir School in Kabaddi.

The final match of the football competition saw a thrilling fight between the Army and Ramish School. The result remained equal throughout the match. In the penalty shootout, Ramish School defeated the Army to win the title. The winning team was awarded a prize of Rs 1.2 lakh. The runners up team received a reward of 90 thousand rupees. APJ School, which placed third, got 60 thousand and fourth place GGIC team received a prize of Rs 40.

In the kabaddi title, Vidya Mandir defeated Savitri Bai Phule School 66-22 in a one-sided match. The winning team was awarded a reward of Rs 1 lakh. At the same time, 72 thousand rupees were given to the runners-up team. Mahamaya Balika Inter College received 48 thousand rupees.

Ritika of Army Public School was declared the best player in football. Palak Sharma of Ramesh School received the award for Best Goalkeeper. Ruchi became the best defender. Ananya Sharma of Savitri Bai Phule School received the award for Best Striker, Ananya of APJ School for Best Scorer. Vidya Mandir’s happiness in Kabaddi was awarded the Hero of the tournament award. Sapna became the best defender. Savitri Bai Phule’s Sapna Best Rider, Khushi of Mahamaya Inter College received the Best Catcher Award. All were awarded Rs 2500-2500. Organizing committee head Rajan Kumar said that these competitions will also be organized in the future in order to encourage girls in sports. On this occasion, Vishwa Hindu Parishad organization minister Rajender Singh Pankaj, Professor RK Khandal etc. were present as the chief guest.
